I was born in S. Mississippi, and grew up with an appreciation for Horror and the Macabre, in both book and film form. Among my earliest inspirations was the illustrator of the "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" series of books, in Second Grade, and expanded to the writings of Poe and Lovecraft, and every horror movie of the 70's & 80s. Of course, "The Metal" is to blame as well.
After education as a Graphic Designer, and lots of visits to various tattoo shops, I developed a style I like, at least a style I want to develop more. I take my inspiration from esoteric Biblical imagery, WWII tattoo culture, New Orleans Jazz, Blues, Voodoo, Southern Gothic, Horror films, Rock art, and the macabre.
